What's your budget?
Uliana, yes you budget will determine the category: it can be something as inexpensive as Dell, higher quality and price as Apple Thunderbolt or Eizo, the most expensive option.
For the price of an Apple monitor you could just buy a top of the range Nec or Eizo which would be lightyears better. In my experience obtaining an accurate calibration on apple monitors is near impossible, not worth the money at all.
I am looking for something withing $500 range.
In the 500 range usually nec has the best offerings. I recall seeing a nec with 97% aRGB and 14 bit lut tables for about 350 euros in my country. Should be within your budget, unfortunately I don't remember the reference.
