Hey Everyone,
Trying to clean up the hair some more in this picture. But am struggling with removing the flyaways/strays and still making the hair look natural?
As I get closer to the main bulk of hair the edges start to look weird.
Would love any advice.
Cheers Shaun
Is this a photograph that you took? If so, did you happen to take any other pictures that show that part of the couch without any obstruction? I tend to take a few photographs of the set before or after taking photos with the model, in order to have clean sources to sample from for instances like this. If you don't, I would recommend sampling from the other side of the couch (flipping said sample in order for the shadows to be believable), and retouching from there. So long as you maintain the texture and pattern of the couch, I don't think the retouching of the hair will look unnatural.
Personally I would remove the strand that touches her shoulder, and leave the rest of it be, as her hair is a bit tousled in general in the image, so a little bit on the side won't be an issue.
Hi Kendra, Yes a photo I took and own the couch. Didn't think to photograph it empty at the time. But that is definitely something I will try next time :-)
Thanks for the advice. I ended up leaving the hair :-)
that will just be a ton of work with a small clone stamp set to lighten thats the only way to really do it.
