Technical - Great way to deliver a commercial product. I do have some concerns. First off is the ice worked on post? I mean did you trim it on the left and left it alone on the right. I feel that the ice is a bit off. The lighting is great but I wonder if you added gels on your shots. It will be interesting if I see a tint of light blue (aqua blue) on the right of the image. I also can tell that you darken the background on post production rather than using some flags. If the background is a bit more blurred just a tad it will definitely look better. I also suggest that you try to use some glycerin spray or shaved ice, they work magic. If you haven't seen Lee's beer bottle tutorial check it out ----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORMatNiIXhc
Composition - The composition is ok, it can definitely use some more tilting on the can. If the can was a bit tilted towards the back it can definitely change the feel of the image. I also think that the can is a bit too close. I feel that you need more on the image visual wise. I would also add some ice smoke to the image either post production or on film. I highly recommend getting everything on film first before doing it on post production. Try getting some dry ice or a fog machine or even getting somebody that smokes to blow some effects on the shot. And that one drip on the top right is off, try adding more or simply taking that off and have no drips.
Impact - The impact is ok, try asking yourself "when you look at the image do you want to buy the product?". If you answer yes then ask at least 5 more people, if your answer is no then ask yourself what can you do to enhance the image. Your trying to go for that commercial look, your getting there but you need to know what they look for. You need to look at every inch of your shot and question it. Like the one drip that you have top right or the finger smudge on the right part of the can. Even the background is eehh, like the ice not being even or the top of the background are dented. Try using a macro lens if you don't have it I'm sure there's means to rent them out. If not get the best prime lens that you can use.
Overall try to look at other commercial images and see how they lay their products. Focus on 1 famous commercial image and mimic the same exact shot. With this exercise you can study all sorts of stuff like placing the object, what other stuff your gonna need and how they light the product. Try doing everything on film and minimize any post production as you can. Then analyze your image on how much they look like the image that copied.
This is merely a feedback coming from someone that cares. I hope you can take this as constructive criticism and use it to better your craft. I hope to see more of your images here. Keep on shooting and mastering those three elements.
Great concept! Here's my feedback
