I had been driving by this mural (unsigned) for at least a year when I shot the Model, Chernetta Bill in studio for an advertising client. And passing by the mural going home that night it all came together in my head. the rest was simple manipulation.

Try feathering the mask to give her hair a more natural appearance. Also, above the nose the highlights and shadows seem consistent with the background but you may want to lighten the skin below her nose to reduce the 5 o'clock shadow effect caused by the light fall-off. I like the overall concept. The vignette is just enough to highlight the model but also retain the background as part of the subject. It's a nice blend of subject matter!
