I'm primarily a toy/product photographer (for toy companies, so..a toy photographer!). I shoot highly detailed sixth-scale figures mainly, so I've done a lot of portraiture with them. Lately, I've been getting into dramatic, low-key/low-light work ala Chris Knight and others.
I WILL try this with some humans one day, but having been a creative director for a good part of my life working on many photo shoots with models, I'm happy to be working with toys! Not to mention I can use continuous lighting instead of flash and some low apertures and long shutter speeds.
