I think the bright yellow makes it a bit difficult (initially) to tease out who the subject is. That's compounded by the tightness and portrait orientation of the shot. I don't really know how to fix that. Normally, I would desaturate her (the woman in yellow) a bit, but she might then blend into the background.
I dont think the composition serves that stark contrast of color very well, but I think that's more down to the fact that it was taken in a hallway than any failing on your part. I personally think you did very well given the circumstances.
