Nice. I like the use of hard and diffused light. This is just nitpicking but the cork would look better on the table with an open bottle showing alcoholism as an ongoing problem. Also I feel the cellphone takes away from the timelessness of the photo.
The candle in the bottle is a great prop. He's alone and I get the sense he's been alone for a while.

I hope you can keep him in the ground and good for you. Oh the eyes... truly the window to the soul.
