Creative Agencies in Love with Compositing...

I'm not ranting here but I wonder if creative agencies would hire photographers who don't composite. I've heard of some campaigns of "no photoshop" which I'm somewhat a fan of just I like to photoshop just not specifically compositing for my own style. They look great, just my specific style I'd prefer realistic looking images as much as humanly possible but clean as well without the compositing techniques. Thoughts?

It really depends on the type or work the agency does and what a specefic job calls for. In my experience with agency work, you are hired most of the time based on how your style fits the brief. For example, if the job calls for a natural / lifestyle look, the guy that shows the best representation of that style will have an upperhand over those that show nothing but Photoshoped composite work. My advice when submiting your port to any agency, do a little research on their work and their clients in order to make sure your style fits with theirs.

While a good portion of commercial advertising work has compositing to some degree, most fashion work is composite free in my experience. Catalog, lifestyle, editorial, and even advertising images in the fashion industry are all fairly composite free.

If you are looking at automotive, product, or general advertising, then yes, composites play a bigger role.
