Welcome!

Hello, everyone! And welcome to our brand new groups! Here's the gear for sale/wanted group.

We've made it pretty hard to mess up or do anything "wrong," but here are a couple guidelines/suggestions:

1.) USE COMMON SENSE
You could replace "common sense," here, with "Paypal" or "an in-person meeting in a safe, public place during the day"). If it's too good to be true, it isn't. And when in doubt, do the cautious thing. Risking your own safety or your valuable equipment is NEVER worth the couple dozen or hundred you might save on your gear.

2.) INCLUDE PHOTOS WHENEVER POSSIBLE
Just like everywhere else, they'll help sell your gear and help you be more clear about what you're selling and about the condition it's in. Likewise, include all the pertinent information you can (a.k.a. don't be too lazy). It's okay to leave out some extremely specific things, but telling people you'll add a major specification if they really want it is silly -- people are going to want it. So save them from having to ask. Alternate info to consider including if possible: Location, offers accepted or firm on price, shipping/insurance expectations, etc.
2b.) Let's all try and start a post either with short and sweet "SELL:" or "WANT:" to be SUPER clear.

3.) KNOW YOUR PRICES
Have an idea of the price you want for it, what's reasonable (check eBay's SOLD listings), etc....and ask accordingly for a fair amount. If you take everyone else seriously, they'll take you seriously. That goes for sellers and buyers: if you're buying something, offer a fair price... There's nothing wrong with wanting a deal, but let's not be insulting. If someone is in a position to offer something at a steal of a price, let them do so...but let's not assume we all have money/gear to donate, as I'm sure most of us are not in that position (it comes with the territory).

4.) HELP A GUY/GAL OUT
Let's all help each other by being kind, fair, reasonable, and by using common sense. We should all be in this to help each other find the gear we want or to pass on the gear we don't need anymore to a great, new home -- all while helping out awesome Fstoppers fans/photographers/videographers that ALL work hard to do what they love.

5.) I'm sure more will be added to this list in the future. But for now, have at it!

Cheers!

- Adam

Perhaps it would be a good idea to require a price in the posting?

It looks like everyone is understanding that from the #3 guideline...and a cursory glance seems to indicate people are including prices in their posts, which is great. But if you think it's an issue or if it becomes an issue in subsequent posts, let me know! :-)

Lots of posts with no pricing or pics

got a lens on ebay search this to find it ------Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Refurbished Direct From Canon With Warranty

I saw some items posted a year ago still on the site. Surely these are gone by now. Suggest you delete post after 3 months.

is this group current (i.e.2018)?
