Shooting above a model is difficult!
You need to be high enough not to distort the model with a wide angle lens but then work out the logistics of getting the camera positioned correctly as well

Yes shooting from above is difficult. The best way I have come up with is shooting tethered and live view and attaching the camera to a cstand arm or boom and just firing the shutter via remote.
Now lighting from above is an even bigger challenge :)
