Hi, my friend asked me to take a couple of portraits of him, and one shot I'd like to include is a close up headshot (shoulders to hair top -crop). He has got a pretty "strong" face, and facial hair that grows seamless with his hair, a bit Italian-ish.
What I'd like to pull off would be a BW portrait with strong definition, especially pointing out his hair, which I know he'll appreciate. I was thinking of shooting level with his face, and have him tilt his head forward just enough to make it look good, but not so much he'd have a double chin. What do you guys think?
What are your suggestions? What kind of a backdrop do you suggest? I was thinking of a dark one (his hair is very dark). How would you set up the lighting? :)
Many thanks in advance! :)
