Hello, I've just joined Fstoppers today and this is the first photo I have uploaded. I'm an amateur and looking for tips etc. Also in need of some serious inspiration - have rarely picked up my camera in the last 9 months.

You're kidding! You've rarely picked up your camera in the last nine months???? Well, you couldn't tell it with this shot. I love this shot. There's a great feel to it. The hand positioning of your model is good, as it doesn't distort her face. The tones are really great, as is her expression. The only thing I might have done is a little eye work, i.e., lighten them just a bit (not much) and cleared some of the veins that are visible there. I might of also widened the crop a bit, but that's just my taste. Nice work! Great model!
