Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
"Reaching" - 'Sambucus nigra', as my wife calls it, or Black Lace Elderberry for the rest of us.
Any interest in this group?
Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
Vintage Lenses
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

Great capture! The model's eyes are sharp and the background is nicely blurred. What lense did you use?
Thanks, 70-200 2.8
Nice job on your first attempt.
My main critiques are the pole in the background on the left side...one step to your left with the camera and you could have framed that out of the shot. And secondly, overall the background seems a touch bright still. Get that shutter speed up a bit more (assuming you're using HSS like in Dylan's tutorial), which will drop the ambient exposure (and sadly your flash exposure a bit as well). Alternatively, just find a spot that has a bit less direct sunlight hitting the background.
Thanks for critique I will get better at this technique.
I like the bright back ground, it gives an open airy look, and there's nothing back there worth looking at any way. The emphasis is on her.
I get Chris's comment about the pole, but otherwise it's a good balance between the strobe and the external light. I also like the spill light on your model's neck and jaw.
Off to a strong start
