I'm a beginner photographer and I'm just getting started with off camera flash, umbrella, lightning etc.
I improvised a studio at home and used myself a model for this test. It was the first time I used frequency separation for skin retouching and I was very impressed with the results. But I'm not too sure if I've overdone it. I'm putting a raw and edit version for comparison.

Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.
These photos were taken just outside of a small town in central Portugal.

A bit overdone but still nice. Perhaps you painted or blended too much on the low frequency or didnt get enough texture. But also nice first attempt! Good job with the lighting

I'll rethink about the amount of blur I'm using on the low frequency layer and pump up the texture a little bit.
