I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.

An afternoon out on the water
It was mid September late in the afternoon, a group of sailboats were out on the water enjoying the weather, there was a soft breeze blowing, pushing on the sails.

Rebecca; I love the approach to this portrait. (The the almost but not quite B&W) really works. The lighting is fairly dramatic, again.not quite Rembrandt, but not far off and makes we want to know more about the subject; Who is he; why was the image recorded etc.
I possibly would not have cropped the top of his head out of the shot (but I'm equally guilty of doing this too!)
Overall I enjoyed your image and look forward to seeing more of your work.
Hope this is of some help.
Best wishes,
