Backing up images: SSD or Cloud - any thoughts?

As my portrait/headshot work grows. I'm suddenly running out of hard drive space and another 500MB back up drive is suddenly almost full.

How do fellow members store their work on stand alone SSD's? Or cloud storage (and if the latter suggestions as to who to use would be appreciated?)

In advance, many thanks,
Doug.

Doug, greetings. I'd have ask how important are the portraits/headshot photo's to you? SSD drives are a great way to back up simply because they are faster and have no moving parts making them pretty reliable. However, if you photos are really important, security is the issue. God forbid you have a fire, flood or other damage to your abode whereas you lose it all. I keep a local copy as well as "Cloud" storage just to keep a copy off-site. Cloud storage also make copies available to you when you are not at home, unless of course you want to make your home computer open to the internet and access remotely? (as an IT guy, I wouldn't recommend the later option) - Cheers!

Cheers Jeff and much appreciated.. I think I need to do some research on cloud storage.

Best wishes,

Doug

one very affordable Cloud storage is JottaCloud.
Highly recommended.
