Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.
These photos were taken just outside of a small town in central Portugal.

I like the second photograph better for the purpose you mentioned because the colors are warmer and it appears more natural. Good job at getting photos of yourself. My profile picture is also a self portrait and I struggled with the timer :D
To my eye the color balance has a yellow cast, the whites are too low, and the framing and look is one for a passport.
It does not transmit something from your personality to me and that it is what a good portrait should do.
