HSS Monolights and Speedlights

Hey everyone. I'm looking for an updated version of an article like this, and one for speedlights. https://www.pdnonline.com/gear/lighting-equipment/the-top-monolights-wit...

I am looking to add environmental headshots to my portfolio and want to be able to do HSS. Unsure of whether I should go the speedlight route or the monolight route.

I have a Westcott Switch Rapid Octa-S.

Thanks!

I would probably have at least one strobe as key and have a speedlight or two as backup or accent lights. Usually HSS is needed in brighter conditions where you still need / want a brighter flash to compete with the sun. I think the cheapest HSS portable strobe I have see is the Orlit Rove light which looks pretty good -

Then Just snag a HSS speedlight
