Vintage Lens
Another visit to our garden using a vintage lens (Canon FD 50mm f/1.4) on my Canon R5.
"Reaching" - 'Sambucus nigra', as my wife calls it, or Black Lace Elderberry for the rest of us.
Any interest in this group?
Hi all, I was looking for such a group but see that although there are many members there hasn’t been a single post. Is there interest out there in getting this group going?
Vintage Lenses
I thought I would try out my 50 year old lenses: Canon FD 50mm f/1.5 SSC and Canon FD 28mm f/2.8 on my Canon R5 with the use of the appropriate adapter.

Dial back what's been done to the eyes.
The whites should not be pure white and the eyes should not look flat. You need to transition from highlights to shadows or at least midtones to sell the idea that the eyes are round.
the eye's in second image i gave some depth you mean like that?
Yes to dialing back the eyes and also clone out the white spots that seem to come out of his ear and the bright cone shaped on the right. I'd try to remove the lighter rectangle on the top left corner to me it would focus more on the subject.
second image better? I still work on the first one.
Ok did all the advice in the last photo, is this better?
The second image you've posted is definitely better. The eyes still look "enhanced" but they also still look like eyes.
What does your first image look like without any retouching of the eyes?
well here are the org from the 2 photo's
ok after all your help here is my final image "i think"
But it away and forget-about-it, don’t look at it for 3 months, and then see what you think.
