Deer on the Beach
I don't normally shoot directly towards the sun, but...
Bluristic mirror mode
I must admit I have been lax in both my shooting and posting recently, perhaps due to the fact my wife has now retired, and we are spending a LOT more time together doing various activities.
An afternoon out on the water
It was mid September late in the afternoon, a group of sailboats were out on the water enjoying the weather, there was a soft breeze blowing, pushing on the sails.

As portraits these are very good. I like them a lot. Particularly the third through fifth shots, with that "kicker" light these really pop and they'd look awesome accompanying a magazine article profiling these people.
As "headshots" though, these strike me as maybe a little over the top. With the the dramatic lighting, the color grading and the relatively shallow depth of field, these people will just never look this cool in real life.
Specific to editing, in the second shot, something about the back of her head looks unnatural to me and I wonder if you've been a little over zealous about removing flyaway hairs.
Thank you!
