Working with harsh sunlight can have its charms, and it must be white, and it should not be a problem.

As long as you place the eyes on 3 quarters of the photo and have the eyes in the shade, because the balance between light and shadow is optimal, you can still touch the viewer with such a photo.

It is true that there will also be people who think that white is a bit 'disturbing', but by playing with the rules, such a photo will stand out.
