This was down last year for the MudRatz offshore sailing team. Had to use a laundry room at the marina that was less than 10 ft x 10 ft. Use my octa behind the subject sitting on top of a washing machine to get a white background. The dog was owned by one of the team members so I said let's grab an image of the dog too.
For the young man, the lighting looks a bit flat and possibly during processing you raised the blacks and shadows a bit too much, possibly dropping the highlights resulting in an image with fairly little contrast....love the dog really cute. Otherwise, image could use some blacks/shadows and highlights.
