It's a very nice image. My only critique would be to maybe add a bit of a kicker to separate the back of his head from the background. Also, you might want to dilate his eyes with a light before shooting so that you get more eye color than pupil. Great job!
Hey CJ! Sorry I've been a bit MIA here. Great job with the lighting on him, I do agree a bit of kicker would be nice and compositionally I think it would have been a little stronger with him composed on camera left here. Also the night shot is a tricky one, in the tutorial we showed how far you can push it, but ideally you want to get this shot just about 15-30min after sundown while there is still ambient light in the sky but the city lights or whatever you are using is starting to turn on, this way you get some ambient mixed with the city lights and it gives the image a little more dynamic range instead of lights and then all black. Give it another try and this time start Shootin at sunset and go for about 30min and try to bleed in some of that ambient light. Great work though otherwise man...a little more lean forward and chin down and have him turn his face just a bit more to the camera and that will help focus and engage the expression a bit more too! Keep it coming man!
It has nice light and color. My opinion is that you used contrasty lighting that gives nice drama that would be perfect for theatrical headshots but his expression is kinda more what you want in commercial headshots.
Your lighting is nice and cinematic, so work on directing your subject to get an intense look to match the scene
It's a nice photo
Nice image.
Nice one!
nice! love the background and the light!
You aced the technical side.. Its superb.. That look though.. Just does nothing...
really good image. although I do agree that the pose could be stronger - more direct.
