Hi guys
I'm celebrating Christmas in Sweden with my family this year. So I had to kill some time and went out to shoot a photo today.
This is the result, a rather dramatic long exposure photo of a small lake in the middle of the forest.
I'm not sure if I'm happy with the result but I would love some feedback from you guys!
Cheers, and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

I think there is potential here, but this photo just isn't doing it. Composition is lacking, with the horizon in the middle and no task focus.
Cheers Tyler. Composition is shit, I agree :) I'm not sure I will go to this spot again. I had to take my shoes of and walk through the ice cold water ;)
All that and you didn't even play around with compositions? ;)
Couldnt really get anything when I came out on the little rock which I was standing on ;)
I do like the long exposure in the clouds though, how did you get such a long exposure and not blow it out?
Thanks Tyler! Well I used a Lee Big Stopper and a 0.9 Soft Grad. 60 sec exposure at f/8 and ISO 100.
It was a bit stormy high up between the clouds so they move quite fast :)
Very beautiful shot, with the exposure of clouds looks incredible
Thank you Jayden!

The execution was great but having that much empty foreground lessens the photo. There is no true subject to the photo. But you did great with the long exposure and the sky looks great! Next time if you do portrait make sure you have something in your foreground (such as rocks, flowers, etc..) or just do a horizontal shot.
Thanks for your feedback Kimberly! I'll take your words with me next time :)
