Hi, great work except for Svartifoss IMO. The foreground looks out of focus to me and the detail on top of the rocks is distracting being only partially visible. I can see what you were trying for with the texture of the water and those gnarly rocks but I think if you'd taken two images, one long exposure and one as you've shot here, then blended together using a low opacity, you could have got the texture and spray but also that otherworldly (plus more of a sense of movement) feel that you do so well in your other images. Sorry to sound harsh, but hey, we've all seen what you're usually capable of producing ;)
Definately not harsh - just honest and that's what I wanted. Now I have tried experimenting with a combination of long-exposure and a fast shutter and it doesn't work for me at least. I did make some longexposures of Svartifoss, but it wasn't the expression I was aiming for with this picture. It's a bit soft because of the watermoisture on the lens - I was on the forbidden side of the fense so I didn't have too much time to stand around and wipe off water - got alot of experience with that on the trip! Always bring more napkins (yes napkins, not clothtowels - they'll just get soaked in no time) than what you'd expect ;)
Hi Mads
Lovely images as usual!
Is the image from Jokulsarlon a blend of two images or? I was just comparing the stars on the sky with the reflection of the stars in the water, they don't really match in my opinion. Just a small detail :P
Hi Mikkel. Nope no blending or composite it's the real deal - ofcause I've made a few adjustments to the light etc. and cropped it a bit (that shouldn't affect the reflection though). The stars are there and in their right spots even though I see what you mean :)
Thanks for the reply!
Ah okay, well I was just wondering when I took a look at the stars in the water - they look like they have a tale. Well yea you know what I mean. Great photo though, I was just a bit curious :)
I really like your work and I'm enjoying your photos on Instagram :)
Thanks alot! :) I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the water not being a perfect mirror - the water was actually surprisingly dirty, so maybe that affects the light somehow :)

I think they look great. You tell me a story in each picture.
The centering of Svartifiss Fall is a little distracting. But still, a great picture!
Thank you Scott :)

I think you're right! :)
Absolutely love the last photo. Beautiful exposure.
