Hello,
I got a couple flashes for christmas, the Altura ones. They are pretty cheap, not E-TTL (which I wouldn't use), but they seem very dim. I tried taking a portrait in my dark garage to test, and two of those flashes on full power resulted in a really dark image, even at f/2.8
I want to use these for fill light for outdoor photography, as well as for sports photos, and indoor sports. I have used a flash before that i know is MUCH brighter, but it was a $500 canon speedlight, and my camera is worth less than that. Any suggestions to high quality, under $80 each flashes? How do you measure output or brightness of the flashes?
Thanks in advance,
Tyler
I FORGOT TO MENTION:
They got pretty good reviews on amazon and Altura's website. I also have Altura wireless triggers that work great, its just the flashes. Did I buy the wrong ones??
I think you might be more lucky with response if you check up on some of the other groups in here. I don't think that many uses flashes for landscape/nature.
Try the portrait group or the general discussion group :) Just a thought.

Alright, I figure I'll leave this here but post it there as well. Thanks
