New Zealand lake

Hi guys
I hope you had a great weekend!

This photo is back from 2014 when I did a tour around New Zealand. I can't remember the name of the lake, but I know that I have seen a ton of photos from this place and the small wooden bridge, which you can't see in this photo.
A quick shot of the lake, not planned or anything. Took it with my old Canon 7d.

Have a nice day!

Hi Mikkel!

I like the composition and the foreground. The foreground looks a bit soft, one solution could have been focus stacking. The duck off to the right also detracts in a way. I'm not sure if it would have been better without, or of you had waited until he was contrasted against the bright reflection in the water. If I was getting really nitpicky I would say that you should include more foreground and slightly less sky, simply because it's just clouds against a blue sky. But that is personal preferenc .

Hi Tyler
Cheers for the feedback. I didn't really post the image for the feedback. Just to share a beautiful spot.
I know the foreground is soft/out of focus. It wasn't the focus point. It could have been a lot better if I had my tripod at that time and some more time at the lake.

The photo is actually taken as a quick shot.
I do like the duck though ;)

Usually, unless it's a place i won't visit again for years, i will refuse to take a photo in that situation. I know I won't be able to criticize myself, and i will be a lot happier if i come back and get it with a tripod. Maybe you are different. Still an awesome photo, took me a while to find something to critique (even though you weren't asking for it).

Cheers
Tyler

Cheers man! Well I will be back one day. I don't know when. I live in Denmark and New Zealand is on the other side of the planet :)

Hi Trade
Thanks for your comment. Regarding the softness and the overall completion of the photo is written as a comment to Tyler :)

I envy you, I would love to live in NZ. Amazing country :)
