Hi Cody! I like the log and the mushrooms and the scenery a lot! The lead in line is great and really draws you into the frame. The only critique that i would have is that it is a little dark, and while I am someone who's guilty of too dark myself, this photo i think need to be a bit brighter. The depth of field is also a bit shallow in my opinion, and i would like the whole log or at least the bottom part all pretty sharp to draw you in more.
Hi, I like the texture and colour of the log and mushrooms. I also quite like river in the background and the POV. Personally I think seeing as the log is the main subject of the image I think it should have been fully in focus. The rocks and the river however just look messy and distracting to my eye, I think it's because they haven't been thrown completely out of focus and look too dark (underexposed?). The vignette is a little too strong IMO which isn't helping. It's an interesting image though, sorry if I sounded harsh!
Cody,
I think Tyler and Paul are making good points. I suspect you are trying to draw the viewers eye to the fungi using some version of selective focus (real or SW). The log however is brightest in the scene so it gets my eye rather than the fungi. I think this could be processed a bit to get the eye on the closest fungi by making it the brightest part of the image.
Thanks for posting!

I do agree with Tyler and Paul, very strong observations!
Maybe if you had the possibility I would have used a higher f/ to get some more depth of field (you would be able to have the full woodlog in focus) - but this could also ruin your photo, might get to overexposed.
It annoys me a bit that the woodlog is out of focus in the lower part of the photo :)
The texture, colors, and lighting all look really nice to me. I love how the log leads the eye to the stream, and the stream leads my eye to the snowy mountains in the background. The colors and textures in the rock, lichen, and log are all real nice, and the out of focus areas give the image some mystery and style. Many people have mentioned the image is dark, but I don't see that as a bad thing. It gives the image mood, and makes the image feel more real. With that said, if you decide to print this image, maybe it wouldn't hurt to make it a bit brighter, because as we all know, images seem to print darker than what we view on our monitors. I honestly can't find much I don't like about this image. The mood, colors, and style all make me feel like I'm there. Good stuff!

I also really like the way the log and the river converge, which took a bit longer to notice, ,but is very pleasant and beautiful.
