A neutral density filter is now my new favorite item to take on a good hike. It's the only way a shot like this was possible during the summer, on a super popular hike. Anyone who walked through the frame was hardly there long enough to register on the sensor. CC totally welcome!! :)
Hey Rex, I Think this image is awesome, especially the contrast in colour and temperature. I appreciate that you put the line between the blue river and the yellow rocks right in the middle instead on of the rule of thirds lines. And i think that blurring the water also helped to bring out the S-shape that goes through the whole image (the stones the water and the lines in the rocks). The only thing that I would change is the brightness of the rocks on the right, the dark ones. I would either darken the left side of the frame a bit, or brighten the right part, to make it more symmetrical, but this is just personal taste.
Congratulations on this image!
I would really appreciate it, if you would take a look at my images.
Have a nice day
Thanks for the input man! I felt pretty good about the composition and I'm pretty flattered that you noticed all those little details, they were all pretty intentional. I see what you're saying about that left side and possibly burning it a little for symmetry. I'll take a look at it and see what happens! :)
