Prime Lenses for hiking

Wanted to see what you guys like to you use, especially for Canon EF .
I have found that I am not a huge fan of my 24-105 f4L lens and have slowly started using my samyang 14mm f2.8 more an more for landscape shots. But I find it a bit too wide sometime and having manual only focus can cause issues when shooting hand held with such a wide lens.

I am looking into getting a prime lens in the 18 to 24mm lens on somewhat of a budget and preferably with auto-focus as I would want to use it as my main on camera hiking lens.

Oh and here is a photo taken with a 14mm.

personally, I love to be able to have a bit of flexibility. I would not have said that ~3 years ago. But with prices of great sharp optics zoom lenses coming down; what's not to like about the Tamron 15-30 f/2.8 for instance? It's a hefty lens, for sure. But you can leave the Samyang at home and have more or less the same results (even at night). Plus you get a range of focal lengths, IS, and weather sealing.

Do be aware that the Samyang is the best bang for your buck in this range.

But to answer your question, we'll stick to primes. In order of my recommendation:

1. Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art
2. Samyang 24mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC (takes filters, but no auto focus)
3. Sigma 20mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art (no screw in filters, but auto focus)

I think you have a very good point. With my budget I think the best move will be to shop around for a lightly used 17-40 F4L lens.
