Miguel Martins's picture

Landscape photography

I took these two photos on a chaotic rainy day in a wind farm in Portugal, even before sunset I got these two images when the rain gave me a break for 5 minutes, I would like some criticism to improve and also to know your opinion about them

Those are great Miguel.

I love the colours in the top one but like how much more visible the road is in the bottom and the extra depth it adds.

These are fantastic! My favorite one is the second one with the road being the leading line to the impending storm.

These are fantastic Miguel. The chaos of a storm and it's colours are always intriguing. I have to agree that the second one is a favourite.

I also agree that the second one is better. Not because the first one is bad but the second one has a better composition I think. Also in the second photo, I'm guessing you took it from below the horizon line while in the first one you took it from (or close to the horizon line) and this gives it a more striking look and also lets us feel a sense of wind and movement.

Great shots, Miguel! I also really like the road in the one in the bottom, but in contrast with the other posts my favorite is actually the top one, because of the light on the largest wind turbine. Excellent dramatic sky in both! I like how the city lights are starting to appear also, somehow including a little more of those may have added to the shot. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic Miguel, the second one is the best for me. If you could add some light to the first turbine, this would take the image up one level for me but they are awesome!
