Horseshoe Falls, near historic Musgrove Mill in Clinton, SC, is named after James "Horseshoe" Robertson. Robertson was a Revolutionary War Patriot that gathered information on the Loyalists' attack plans by hiding in a small cave at the falls. His information helped the outnumbered Patriots beat back the Loyalists at the Battle of Musgrove Mill.
I didn't really choose the best day to drive out... Bright and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. I was hoping the trees would block the afternoon light, but no such luck. Any suggestions on how I can make this photo better?
