Would love some CC. The community has always been so kind in terms of telling what they loved and what they love to see improved. Expecting the same on this one too.
The branches in the left upper corner steals my attention. It would be much cleaner without it and you would have the full curve from the Aurora Borealis.
Maybe clean the foreground a bit - remove the plants in the right side :-)
I would agree with the comment about the branches. However the fact that you got such a great shot of the Aurora is wonderful in itself. Love the way the canoes lead your eye into the aurora.
Not know what size you might print it one day, and I hate to sound like a broken record, but again, the plants on the right side could be cleaned up.
It is a great shot and the composition is fantastic. One of the things we used to do when we printed in a dark room was after we printed we would look at our prints upside down. The reason was to see where our hot spots were on the print, it also allows you to see things you might not normally see that stick out.
Go in and flip this print 180 degrees and take a look at it. See if you notice any spots that could be brought down, see how much the tree branches stand out, etc... I think I still do the same thing even on my digital work. It takes awhile to get used to doing it, but once you get used to it and develop an eye for what you are looking for you will start seeing a difference in your overall print.
hello scott .. greeting from finland .. thank you for such a nice feedback .. not to lie i've never printed my pictures .. this is my second year into photography and m still trying to nail composition and post processing .. i've made a collection though and m planning to print them next summer for some sort of amateur exhibition in the local library .. i'll keep all your pointers in mind.
In the mean time m trying to remove the branches like you guys suggested .. not final yet .. it'll take a while for me to make it look all natural.
Thank you again .. have a nice day.

Great shot, Yogesh! You captured a wonderful light show (confessing - I've never seen one).
I wonder if crop into the middle of the image may bring out the Aurora Borealis more to the front. At the same time, the plants and branches may become less distracting. This is just a thought, if you have enough resolution to do that.
thank you Leonid Yenisei .. i will try cropping it from the middle. The problem with auroras is that you never know when the activity starts .. Sometimes they last forever giving you enough time to think and compose and sometimes you have to decide right there and there and taking time to compose is not an option especially for someone like me who is still learning.
It is really nice that people like you take your time to critique on posts. Will certainly help me grow and your points are noted. Will give it a go.
