I was hanging out with my wife on a cliff in Oregon, watching the sea lions and birds on the rocky islands below. I had my camera, but wasn't really planning on taking a picture of the scene as it wasn't that interesting. But then a pelican flew in front of me and I thought, "that pelican at arms reach would have made a nice photo." I looked left in the direction he came from and my eyes bugged out. A whole flock was right on me. I whipped out my Canon and snapped a series of photos in quick succession as I pivoted and managed to pull off a really beautiful panorama of the scene. Sometimes you just have to be quick to the draw to capture the moment!
Wow ! Nice and sharp. Great catch !
