First Snow

After over a month of arctic weather (in the South, 20 degrees is considered “arctic”), we finally got our first snow! It’s been a day of building a miniature snowman named Harold — he just wasn’t awesome enough to be a Frosty or Olaf — plus a snowball fight. And of course, wrapping the camera in a bag and wandering outside in search of the perfect snowflake.

As always, CC is greatly appreciated! What would you change/fix?

To be perfectly honest, for me it's too busy. My eyes don't know whether to look at the ice on the right, or the leaf on the left. I like the colours, they aren't too saturated, just the right amount of pop it is purely the composition that doesn't do it for me.

Thanks for the input! When I'm looking through my photos of the day, sometimes it's easy to get lost in the details and lose sight of the big picture (please excuse the pun). After I read your comment, I took some time to study the composition and think back to what I really wanted to capture here. I cropped it down to focus on the leaf... Better?

Yes, my eyes are now drawn to the drop of ice on the leaf.
