The Image is not symmetrical for a start, look at the cloud above and look at the cloud below and they are not symmetrical.
Another thought would be that the blues are a little bit unnatural, I appreciate that if you are at 10,000 feet or above sea level then they do go this sort of royal blue but other than that very rarely do skies go blue in this manner .
yes things do get far better than this because clearly either side of dawn and sunset you'll get much more pleasant colours at that time of the day with long shadows and warmth in the sky .
This is why landscape photographers are out taking photographs an hour and a half before dawn and then typically an hour also after dawn and then in the evenings the light gets more interesting maybe a couple of hours before sunset and an hour after sunset and never at the midday sun when you are taking photographs such as this.
Lastly, I would avoid where possible, just recording the scene for what it is in front of you, often it's more beneficial to put something in the foreground so that you don't have a simple shot such as this . At the same time, I do appreciate that what you are looking for is the symmetry and the reflection but in all honesty it's badly executed .
