Be gentle on the Editing portion, nothing was done in photoshop or lightroom only what editing was available on windows photo viewer (saving up for a new computer before buying photoshop). I'm looking for advice on photo placement, and trying to capture the image while keeping distractions limited. Any advice would help, Thanks.

I'll give you the same advice I gave another poster seeking post-processing critiques. Rarely will the camera deliver an image that matches that "feeling" we experienced when we took the shot. Therefore, process your images in such a way that the end result resurrects what you felt and not so much what you saw.
