I love taking photos in mist and fog. But it comes with its chalenge. I can't really decide the highlight level of the fog while post-processing the images. I try to not to blown out higlights , but oftentimes the levels in lightroom and my taste don't correlete. For example I prefer more contrasy more bright smoke in my photos but I can't be sure If my photos look too blownout. What is your experience with foggy photos ? What are your suggestions about this photo ? Does it needs more punch in the highlights ?

Interesting question. I try go to for the "natural" look. I think in this picture the highlights are about right and pleasing for the eye.
I think if you want a high key style photo, blowing out the highlights isn't the end of the world. Sometimes breaking the rules is okay, but it does really depend on the photo.
