Midnight sun in Sakrisoy

This shot was taken at midnight in Sakrisøy in the Lofoten Islands of norway.

The conditions were quiet complicated to shoot, in 5 minutes we had, rain, fog on the mountains completly grey sky ... and 1min30 of impressive light.

Right after this 1min30 the weather became as grey and rainy as it was before the shot, and so for the whole "night".

If you want a moody shot in the Lofoten, you have to be extremly responsive .... :-D

Nice capture. Looks and sounds like some fun shooting.

I'm going here in 3 weeks! Cannot wait. Great work.

I hope you will have a better weather as us ... 1.5 days of sun in 13 days :-D

Only going to be there for 6 days so I sure hope so. Could you not get any moody shots without the sun?

Yes, I have some others, it's the first one I worked on it, we visited Senja too for 6 days, much wilder than the Lofoten islands !

Was thinking about driving to Senja but we only have 1 week up there so decided to just stick to driving around Lofoten. Any spots you recommend?

Senja is really remote ;) and roads aren't as easy as the Lofoten, for spots in the Lofoten, the classics yes, Uttakleiv, Haukland, Vik,Skagsanden, Tangstad, Henningsvaer (if you fly a drone), reine, A, the Waterfall near tind, plenty of spots to see in a relatively narrow driving range.

I plan to just drive around a shoot for 6 days outside of the normal spots. Thanks for sharing.

Isn't a bit bombastic?
