Richard Smith's picture

Bronze Age rock art

This image was shot next to a bronze age burial site in Northumberland, England. The rock carvings are called cup and ring marks and are thousands of years old. Little is known about why they were done but some say they are religious sacrifice shrines.

Very interesting. I think I would have prefrred it without the bright flash light.
