So i recently took a this photo at sunrise of the Sabie river in South Africa , but i'm unsure of whether or not the foreground's brightness feels natural. Any opinions on the brightness of the foreground or the photograph in general ?
Nice shot of a place I'll never see.The foreground is fine in my opinion. It is probably how your eyes saw it. A camera does not have the ability of the human eye to simultaneously see detail in shadow and highlights.I am presuming the sun is low and therefor the foreground may have been darker to your camera but you would have been able to see the detail as you lowered your gaze. This is a shot where you could probably use a graduated neutral density filter while shooting rather than lighten the foreground in post.

I like the reflection of the sky in the foreground. I don't think you can improve the image, although you might want to try darken left upper and left lower corners slightly to bring the eye to the water, sun and line of water going off to the distance, but overall lots to look at, nice shot.
