Im 16 and would love to know your thoughts about my photo
I took 7 shots and merged them together in lightroom and tweaked the shadows a little and came out with this, would love to know what you think of this photo I took only being 16. Thanks!
I wouldn't count your age as an alibi, there is a professional wildlife photographer who is only like 12 years old or so. I guess you took this photo directly in front of your house just because the sky was nice. And that is the major problem here. You havent really got a main subject at all. Technically it is OK and the sky is nice. But you have to look for an interesting foreground.
I am a big sky fan, so I love the colors you captured. When you say you merged 7 photos, were you trying to increase the dynamic range by using bracketed exposures? I am asking because the foreground and trees are still pretty dark. I agree with Tobias, work on composition.
Man, if I had a digital camera when I was 16 I can't imagine how many photos I would have taken by now! Learn to cull those images and post up some more!
I agree with the above comments, age doesn't mean squat here. I think the only thing I would say with your age is use it to your advantage if you can! What I mean by that (and it may not actually apply to you) is free time is a god send when it comes to exploring photography, if you have relatively few other commitments to take your time then use it to experiment.
I also agree that the sky is nice but you have no main subject, just a boring residential street that could be anywhere. The trees are a bit flat, if you merged 7 photos you should definitely be able to bring out a little more colour in them but I guess that's really a personal thing.I would also say the road looks a bit too purple for my liking.
Finally at the bottom of the image there's a white arch from the photo merge, gotta take care to crop or fill it in the future.

Thanks for the Tips!
I replied to Tobias' comment in error.
I was going to say much the same re stating your age, but thought I may have been coming across as critical.
Josh Launstein may be found here. His work is spectacular.

And, yes, what Tobias said re main subject. And the contrast is a little low for my liking, but that's a personal choice.
Edit: I probably should have replied to Jonah's comment here.
Karl Taylor has done some easy to follow tutorial on this subject.
