What's your thoughts?

I had taken this picture last year on a vacation in California. It wasn't planned, but as a tourist.....the camera is always out! While I love it, I feel there's something that could make it better. So, how would all of you improve it?

Ah, you're a perfectionist like me. I like it but you have to be happy with it. I love the colors. The only thing I could add is that my eyes are drawn to the first row windmills. Rather then being taken down toward the valley, I stop at the first two. Also, I used to live in California so I know the spot :). I dig the image. So... Perhaps brighten up the valley a bit? Something to draw the viewer into the image?

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm absolutely a perfectionist like you! I am quite happy with it, but I feel I'm bias since I snapped it. Thus fresh eyes and critique is certainly appreciated. Especially as you know the area!

For the crop, are you suggesting getting rid of the valley? I haven't thought to try that yet. I'll have to get back to you with that edit done! I'll also get one done with the valley exposure fixed up a bit.

Again thank you for the thoughts!

Oh no, the valley is beautiful. I was suggesting brightening it up so the eyes are drawn to it. Sorry if I implied getting rid of it.

Ahhhhh apologies for my misinterpretation!

I like the overall image but the missing turbine distracts me and prevents me from fully enjoying it. Might be a tough ask but if it were my shot I'd have to try clone in one of the other turbines.

Unfortunately, that is currently a bit out of my skill range at the moment, but it's surely something I'll be working on to amend. I never realized how distracting it can be, but I now find myself staring at it. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look to improve my cloning skills so I can give it a shot with this!

I must admit that I wouldn't be capable of doing it either because the adjacent turbines are a different size so it's not possible in lightroom which I use, but I'm sure a competent photoshop user would be able to do it though. Any ideas from photoshop users?

Although, having said all that.... Perhaps that's the subject of the photo.... The missing turbine and therefore left as it is.

The different sizes can surely be worked with, my main concern would be the angle. I'm sure it wouldn't be noticeable to the normal eye, but it may create an additional slight distraction

I have to say.... I've just looked at this image again on my work monitor rather than on my phone and the missing turbine is nowhere near as much of a distraction, and possibly does add a point of interest. On my phone, the green hills were not as apparent and the foreground jumped out way more. Just goes to show how critical the viewing medium is.
Nice image.

The color and the previously mentioned brightness issues is completely my fault. I have yet to calibrate my screen. I have only ever looked at it on my screen and phone, and they are both fairly the same so I highly appreciate hearing what it's like on other screens and helping me realize how crucial screen calibration is!
