I take it you're completely new in photography and looking for feedback?
Then first off welcome to the craft ;)
On the picture itself, well it's a quite unspectacular photo but i guess that wasn't the intent, technically there is nothing wrong with it, maybe a little underexposed. Hints for improvement that you could implement next time you go out:
- Keep an eye on the Horizon, in this image the tree line. In your image its roughly on the same level as the horses back and makes it harder to see. The horse would pop out more if it was above the horizon.
- Try to avoid distractions like the wire on the Top left and in front of the horse.
- Level your image. This one is falling to the left a bit. Unfortunately the post is leaning in the other direction.
- Try to focus on your subject. For the the whole left half of the image is not needed
- Go out when the light is good, early in the morning or in the evening. Again if you just want to practice composition and technical skills it doesn't matter so much. For the look of your photo it's everything.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! Yes, this was the first day out getting my camera. I will keep your feedback in mind next time I'll go out. Thanks a bunch!
