Great shot. I was worried about the dark foreground but I noticed there are buildings there in the dark. I think I would crop just above the building at the topmost position and then the darkness is not too much. You could always lighten the dark bit for more detail but then it takes away from the dramatic lighting.
Agree with Geoff Thompson
To me, it looks like highlights in the yellow part of the mountains are blown and shadows at the bottom are crushed.
Buildings in the bottom part can be cropped out or retouched I guess
more gradual transition from lighted mountains down to dark foreground would be more natural to my liking.
Thank for the comments. I will play around with the darker part of the image and repost. The way that the mountains/land was out of the frame to the right of the photo really cut the light from the sun. It fell off very dramatically. The mountains/cliffs were bathed in the glow, and the valley was almost pitch black.
When taking the image I had hoped that the homes/buildings would have started to turn on their lights to provide some interest in the foreground.
This photo was taken just after I took this panorama.
Alfred, looking at this pano there are two options to crop off houses OR I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to include houses into a frame (to show more at the bottom). This will create and show another perspective and give depth/size of the mountains, plus small white spots of the houses will give another POI on the picture.
nice shot where was this?

Pull back on the black and see what it does...............as I'm curious.
