I think what's kind of trick about this is that you have the texture of light vs dark from the light on the hills but also another finer texture of the snow a grass. Maybe bump contrast and/or do some split toning to emphasize the texture of the hills and maybe use reduce clarity or use an Orton Effect to draw attention away from the finer texture.
As a more general comment, I think that I might crop a bit to make the trees take up more room in the image, since I think that's the most interesting part of the image. I pulled it in to photoshop and did a letterbox crop of just the bottom of the image and I think it looks pretty nice.
Thanks Collin, I'll try a subtle orton effect. I agree the frame could be a bit tighter, but this is already at 400mm which is the longest I have. I think it probably looks better croped a bit on a monitor, but if it was printed somewhat large I think the framing would work as it is.
