Springtime in the deep forest

After a long winter the spring arrived melting the snow making even small forest creeks turning into rivers and waterfalls. A perfect time to walk around with a camera.

Love to hear what you think about the image!

Great shot but your springtime is a bit different to Australia. We do have some melting snow in the mountains on the east coast, but spring here(Adelaide) is usually lots of flowers, blossoms, birds nesting and breeding. This does not signify spring to me but it's a geography issue.

Thanks a lot, happy you liked the image. We get some flowers, but the spring for me is the rapid melting of snow and all the small creek suddenly come alive (and a few weeks late they are almost dry again).

Johan, A couple of thoughts:

1. The image appears over-exposed or washed out with the color drained out of the moss on the rocks.

2. I think it would be much stronger if it was framed around either the sun through the trees (which would give a moody/misty feel) or the stream--but the two items are competing for my attention and don't seem to be related.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions! I will play around with vibrance and different crops!
