Romanian Vineyard (Recaș Vineyard)

Shot on Canon 80D. Post-processing in Affinity.

What would you have done differently in terms of shooting / post processing? What do you think is done right?

Hi Bogdan. Photos are fine to give an idea of the size of the vineyard. You probably did so, but a close up of the vines at eye level at the start of a row( a detail shot) is what I would also do.

That's a very good idea.

i like the composition it carries your eye through but it does look like you are using this shot straight from camera. judging from the shadows this was either taken late morning or late afternoon, vineyards are best shot at early morning or late evening to get more colors across a vast landscape. geoff thompson is correct at the time of day that you shot this a detail would be better. daytime shots are hard for post production because everything gets washed out unless you have a nice storm system come through for dramatic effect i would go back and take this at a different hour and you will have a better outcome

I see your point about time of day and it does make sense. And you are right, this was shot around 16.00 PM. Unfortunately I will not be able to retake this shot until next year when I’m going back home in Romania. Kindly explain what do you mean by “using this shot straight from the camera”?. And thanks a million for your feedback.

i mean that it doesn't seem like a lot or any post production work was used. straight from camera just meaning you are using the raw image.

Got it now. Here is a JPEG export from RAW processed by Affinity without any input from me.

yeah that harsh daylight kills landscapes its rare that you can shoot in broad daylight and get a good image. do you do editing in photoshop or another platform
