Often landscape photographers go around the world to take picture exotic places. Often to take picture of scenery or places where hundreds and thousands of other peoples already have catched on their sensor or film. Why is that?
The americans goes to Europe, the chinese goes America, the europeans go to China and so on.
I do belive you can find a lot of interesting, beautiful, strange, nice, exotic and dramatic places near by.
Its all about perspective and light, and to find the magic close to home and not on the other side of the world..
This picture is form where I live. I take most of my landscape photos, and I often find new places and spots to take photos. Perhaps not the best landscape photos around, but it gives me a lot of joy.

I like the image but............not sure all the shrubbery needed to be included of the left and the right needs to brought in or dodged to bring out a little more detail......... those are don't add anything to image.

Nothing like discovering something new...especially when they can be so close home and revisited often.
Often with this iconic images .... the composition and working of finding has already been done for you I guess.
If I were in an iconic place rather than capture it I would enjoy it and then find a different way or a different unseen area to capture it.
