just finished processing the photos of my last outing. Got to shoot a location off my bucket-list and revisited an oldie but goodie. What do you think?
Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Lee. The top one I think should be composed with the cross isolated from the cloud.Maybe if you had just moved to the right a bit.You would have lost the tree but I don't think tah helpd the picture. The second one is spectacular and it must have been great being there to witness that. You have captured a lasting memory. The bottom one is a nice composition but I find it a bit dark. I would try and bring out a bit more details in the shadows.I noticed in your bio you said you are always trying to get across a story with your pictures. Is there a story behind these 3 shots? You have some great work in your gallery.
Welll. I guess I'll have to be more blunt about the story and put it into captions....
This shoot was all about chasing the sun and it saying goodbye in the second shot for a while during the passing of storm Fabienne.
Thanks for the hint on the cross. I guess the first shot is one I will have to revisit, as it was clearly too late in the day to get the tree out of frame this time around. You see the cross has a spectacular crystal in it. I've put the sun behind it as to shine through it.
I'll keep playing with the third one, as I think there's more in it...
Thanks Lee. They say a picture paints a thousand words but I like words with the picture also where there are words to be had.Although sometimes a scene leaves us speechless.
The second one is quite nice, but my overall comment would be that it's too busy. Simplify. The roads on the third destroy the image, it should be a tranquil setting and instead it's a mountain scarred by bitumen.
